The Making of Liz's Little Learners Preschool

Liz's Little Learners Preschool has been in the making long before it was established in 2011. For as long as Miss Liz could remember children were a big part of her life. Miss Liz is the second to the youngest of 9 children and with a family of so many she was surrounded by children her whole life. Unfortunately, with that many children and adults her voice wasn't always heard or someone would be speaking for her.. She knew she was different the day she walked into kindergarten. Everyday she cried and would have accidents because she was scared to ask for help. She was extremely shy in Kindergarten and had to repeat it for a second year. When she became a mother she knew she didn't want her children to go through the humiliation or endure the anxiety of just not being ready. Despite providing childcare services to other children in her home, she put all of her girls in preschool to help fill that gap between home and kindergarten. Looking for preschool that fit the needs of each of her daughters was difficult. She knew we could do better and need to do better.  When her youngest entered kindergarten she returned to school to major in Early Childhood development.. With her own kIndergarten experience, her motherly experience , her daycare background, and her education she knew we needed to start with the social-emotional development of a child. This helps build their confidence, independence, self awareness, and verbal skills to help prepare children for learning. Once you build those skills a child is more likely to focus on what is being taught.. Taking out the uncertainty in a classroom of not being good enough is the key to success in an early learning environment. Children being burnt out in school at a very young age or having anxiety to attend school is unacceptable. We have to do better and this is the principal of how Liz's Little Learners Preschool was established.. Miss Liz brings play, individual learning, creativity, with a cross curriculum centered around the love of Christ to Liz's Little Learners Preschool.  Liz's Little Learners has served over 300 children in Temescal Valley since being opened in 2011.
